eInfochips to Develop Software & Build the Test Automation Infrastructure for Testing Various Communication Protocols
eInfochips, Inc., a leading provider of ASIC design and verification services, IP cores and embedded systems solutions, today announced that it was selected by NetEffect, an Austin, Texas-based leader in developing high-performance networking solutions, to develop the test automation infrastructure and offer software services for a variety of protocol stacks and drivers for high-performance, multi-gigabit Ethernet applications for Data Centers. eInfochips was selected because of their technical expertise and proven project management skills.
eInfochips' test infrastructure supports testing of various protocols and drivers in both user and kernel space utilizing different DUT configurations. Protocols tested include: TCP/IP, Sockets, RDMA over Ethernet (iWARP), iSCSI, DAPL and MPI. The test infrastructure reduces the time to test multiple configurations while increasing overall quality. eInfochips is also developing the SNMP-based management interface for NetEffect software and Ethernet Channel Adapter (ECA) hardware.
"The market for high-performance iWARP Ethernet products is highly competitive. We were looking for partners that understood the technical challenges of iWARP development and could scale to help us bring this product to market quickly," said Rick Maule, CEO of NetEffect. "We found that partner in eInfochips."
"Efficient project monitoring is one of eInfochips' core strengths," according to Pratul Shroff, CEO eInfochips. "AOM, our Global Outsourcing Delivery Model, provides a framework for periodic checkpoints, early-alert systems, continuous feedback mechanisms coupled with a forward planning process. AOM delivers significant time and cost benefits and is the key to our customer's satisfaction."
