Qwest Launches High-Speed Network Service

Qwest Communications International has announced the launch of a new high-speed network service in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
According to the company, Qwest Metro Optical Ethernet (QMOE) service combines the power of ethernet and optical technologies across metropolitan area networks. With QMOE, businesses of all sizes can avail a faster communications option, with the ability to purchase only the bandwidth they need and the opportunity to connect multiple locations.
Businesses can take advantage of more than 20 network speeds ranging from 5Mbps to 1 Gigabit per second, as well as an optical ethernet transport system for better high-bandwidth communications solution.
Ken Smith, vice president of Qwest Business Markets Group, said: "Today's small- and medium-sized businesses have a critical need to transport huge amounts of data safely and securely between locations. Qwest Metro Optical Ethernet fulfills those important business objectives and more, with some of the fastest speeds available, as well as flexible options that can grow with businesses as they expand."
