NXTcomm Eos Awards Honors Industry's Finest

NXTcomm, the one event delivering the ecosystem of network-enabled voice, video and data, today announced the winners of the 2008 Eos Awards. The NXTcomm Eos Awards honor those exhibiting companies that have developed the most promising new technologies or provided the best new network services and strategic support.

NXTcomm replaces SUPERCOMM; the NXTcomm08 exhibit and conference comes to the Las Vegas Convention Center June 16-19 and will co-locate with InfoComm08, the leading audiovisual business-to-business marketplace. For more information, go to www.NXTcommShow.com.

Eos Award winners were honored for best new technology or enterprise solution in twelve categories covering the entire range of wireless, broadband, and next-generation technologies and services for both public and enterprise networks.

"Our exhibitors continue to raise the bar in innovation as exemplified by this year's competition," said Wayne Crawford, NXTcomm Executive Director. "This year's Eos winners and runners-up demonstrate the best and most promising advancements to the network-enabled voice, video and data ecosystem."

A judging panel of 15 consultants, technical journalists and service providers from the communications industry selected the following Eos Award winners:

Products and technologies nominated in this category must have been put into operation on or before June 30, 2005, and must show continuing excellence in evolving to meet the needs of the changing marketplace.): WINNER: Hatteras Networks, Inc. for Hatteras Networks' next-generation HN4000 FINALIST: Ciena Corp. for CN 4200 FlexSelect Advanced Services Platform

A 13th award, called the Spotlight Award, will be selected by attending press and analysts and will be given to one of the 12 Eos Award winners. The Spotlight Award winner will be recognized at the invitation-only NXTcomm Exception Reception, Tuesday, June 17, 5:00pm - 6:30pm.

NXTcomm exhibitors nominated themselves, their customers or their vendors for best new technology or enterprise solution in 12 categories covering the entire range of wireless, broadband, and next-generation technologies and services for both public and enterprise networks. Nominated service providers or enterprise organizations must have put their services into commercial operations during 2007. Vendors or suppliers nominated for new technologies must have announced their products no earlier than September 1, 2007, and have them available for sale no later than July 1, 2008.

NXTcomm08 is expected to draw thousands of communications professionals from more than 100 countries and U.S. territories. NXTcomm08 will feature more than 500 exhibitors occupying 200,000 net square feet of exhibit space as well as 100 keynote addresses, sessions and conference events and coverage by over 450 press and analysts.
