VeriSign has upgraded its Log Management Service for enterprises with compliance and security management applications from ArcSight.
Additions include improved reporting capabilities, correlation across log sources, and ArcSight Logger capabilities to collect, analyze, and store system and application logs. The service also provides security monitoring and meets a range of compliance requirements.
Verisign said the partnership with ArcSight will also enable its Managed Security Services customers to integrate the service with customer-specific applications without the need for custom development. The company will manage and support hardware products from ArcSight, including ArcSight Logger and ArcSight Connector Appliances.
Scott Magrath, vice president and general manager at VeriSign Managed Security Services, said: "The service extends visibility beyond the network perimeter to the application layer to help our customers achieve broader compliance and more effective identification and mitigation of security threats."
