Slide, Inc. Opens New York Office, Hires Former AOL Sales Lead to Head East Coast Ad Sales Team

Posted on: Thursday, 5 June 2008, 09:00 CDT

Slide, Inc., the world's largest producer of applications for social networks, today announced that it has launched its New York operations with the opening of new ad sales-focused offices in the West Village. Slide has also named Jason Bitensky, formerly of AOL, as Director of East Coast Sales. The expansion is a direct response to increasing advertiser-demand for Slide's engaging applications across social networks such as Facebook and MySpace. Slide advertisers already include many of the Fortune 50 companies, as well as top entertainment and CPG brands.

"This is both recognition of the outstanding success our sales team has achieved to date, and an indication of the market demand for Slide's unique and engaging ad products," said Max Levchin, CEO of Slide. "The success of campaigns on our popular products, such as SuperPoke!, Top Friends and FunWall, has attracted the attention of not only top brands, but also top talent like Jason."

Prior to joining Slide, Jason served as Director of National Sales at AOL Media Networks/Platform-A (TimeWarner Inc.). During his three-year tenure, Jason lead efforts to monetize AOL's premier consumer brands, including AIM, Moviefone, MapQuest, TMZ and AOL.com. While there, he successfully ran one of the highest revenue-generating sales teams. Prior to AOL, Jason was a key member of the sales team at Comcast, where he worked with brands such as E! and Style Networks.
