SnapNames(R), an Oversee.net(TM) company and the world's largest source of expired and deleting domain names, and Register.com, a leading provider of domain registration and web services for small business, today announced the renewal of their exclusive agreement. Under the terms of the deal, domain names registered with Register.com but surrendered by their previous registrants are made available exclusively on the SnapNames auction platform at www.snapnames.com.
"We've been a long-standing partner with SnapNames for aftermarket services," said Register.com CEO Larry Kutscher. "SnapNames was the first company to offer an organized aftermarket platform for buying and selling domain names. It consistently provides excellent service to its partners and customers and has a great reputation for transparency and performance. Because of these factors, we wanted to continue that productive relationship."
Since its founding in 2000 and with its acquisition by Oversee.net last year, SnapNames has focused on expanding its leadership position in the domain name aftermarket. Through SnapNames, thousands of names are made available to buyers every day at multiple price points. Its service is used by companies, individuals, investors and brand owners to secure valuable Internet real estate.
Monte Cahn, recently named as head of Oversee's Aftermarket business unit, hailed the agreement as another building block in Oversee's plan to be the industry's premier service provider. "Register.com has been on the forefront of bringing small business brands to life through a broad selection of website design and services," Cahn said. "It's a privilege to partner with such a well-known and respected brand."
Oversee's Aftermarket (Division) includes SnapNames and Moniker.com(R), a leading registrar and domain asset management services company.
