ConSentry LANShield Switches Provide Network Control and Visibility for Deluxe Digital London

ConSentry Networks, the leader in intelligent switching, today announced that Deluxe Digital London, a provider of a broad range of entertainment industry services and technologies, has selected the ConSentry intelligent switch to provide integrated user and application controls and granular network visibility for all users at its London office.
Deluxe Digital London sought a solution to provide access control and network visibility to enhance the integrity of its digital content. The company selected the ConSentry LANShield CS-4048 for its multiple features and capacity to deliver granular control and visibility in a single platform.
"We needed to satisfy our own data security strategy with measures in place to manage users and network activities," said Peter Guyan, senior systems engineer, Deluxe Digital London. "ConSentry's intelligent switch came highly recommended and lives up to its reputation. It enables us to more easily track and control network access and file transfers, making sure that all user, application, file, and Internet activity adheres to our compliance strategy."
Easily deployed and configured, the LANShield Switch authenticates users against standard identity stores and automatically learns their roles. For each traffic flow, the switch identifies the application in use, applies policies based on role, and fully tracks all activities. This level of granularity ensures Deluxe Digital London is constantly aware of all activity on the network and can manage that activity to an individual user level.
"The ConSentry intelligent switch has so much capability in a single platform, with user access control, detailed Layer 7 visibility of applications, and a granular view of traffic flows," concluded Guyan. "Setup is simple and only took a matter of hours. We now plan to use the role-based LAN segmentation capability to further secure image- and non-image-based networks, helping to further support our compliance objectives."
"Deluxe Digital London is a global player in the digital content industry and like a growing number of media companies seeking compliance, faced the challenge of needing comprehensive network visibility and control," said Dean Hickman-Smith, vice president of worldwide sales at ConSentry. "ConSentry's intelligent switch brings Deluxe Digital London dynamic and transparent control of users and applications across the LAN, in a simple deployment, to address its evolving business needs."
