The company will display new 10 GigaBit LC-based test access ports (Taps), a 10 GigaBit Port Aggregator, a 10 GigaBit In-line Bypass Switch, and Director(TM), a flexible “network to monitoring tool” traffic filter.

As networks evolve in terms of interfaces, protocols, and loads, Net Optics products ensure that 100% of the traffic on a link is copied to monitoring tools. This improves the likelihood that all required information, regardless of content type, and including layer 1 and 2 errors, are retained for service level agreement measurement and troubleshooting purposes. The in-line characteristics of Taps also alleviate configuration and contention issues sometimes associated with Span ports.
