US information security provider SafeNet has introduced a portfolio embedded security offerings for protecting LAN and Metro Ethernet communications at the link layer.
The QuickSec/MACsec security toolkit and SafeXcel IP MACsec security engines provide networking device manufacturers with integrated, standards-compliant software/hardware hybrid security software performing at speeds in excess of 40Gbps. SafeNet said the products are key components of its integrated security applications for OEMs in the networking industry.
It said the emergence of high-speed LAN and MAN networks have driven the demand for security applications that support high-performance, low latency, and simple key management functions while addressing compliance requirements.
