Texas Instruments' OMAP(TM) 2 Applications Processor Powers New Feature-Rich Fujitsu Smartphones

DALLAS, June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) today announced that its OMAP2430 applications processor was selected to deliver advanced multimedia capabilities to Fujitsu's new F1100 smartphone. The new Fujitsu handset, which also uses TI's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity technology, is the first Microsoft(R) Windows Mobile(R) phone available with NTT DoCoMo's FOMA technology.

Fujitsu's 3G F1100 handsets use the OMAP2430 processor to deliver leading-edge audio, video and imaging capabilities, including a QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera capabilities and a microSD card slot. The phone also leverages TI's BlueLink(TM) Bluetooth(R) and WiLink(TM) Wi-Fi (a/b/g) solutions for connectivity capabilities.
