Emerging Multiplatform Model for Directory Publishers Focus of The Kelsey Group’s ‘Directional Media Strategies 2008′ Conference
PRINCETON, N.J., June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- According to The Kelsey Group, local search, print Yellow Pages and Internet Yellow Pages (IYP) will grow from US$33.3 billion in 2007 to US$41.4 billion globally in 2012. Interactive segments will drive much of the industry's growth, while print will remain the most important source of leads for small businesses. Within this environment, a multiplatform business model is emerging. The Kelsey Group will gather the global Yellow Pages, local search and interactive media industry to examine the challenges and opportunities of this new business model at "Directional Media Strategies 2008" (DMS '08: The Multiplatform Opportunity), Sept. 15-17, 2008, Atlanta, Georgia.
"This is an extraordinary period in the evolution of the directory publishing industry," said conference chair Charles Laughlin, senior vice president and managing editor, The Kelsey Group. "DMS '08 will focus on how publishers and technology providers are driving the transition, and we'll explore the strategies that are shaping the multiplatform future."
