Canadian Marketers Flock to Search Engine Strategies Conference
Search Engine Strategies (SES) Toronto kicks off today amidst expectations for a banner year: the 2007 event was the country’s largest Internet search conference. Once again an impressive array of coveted speakers is slated to give even the most astute marketers valuable tips for honing their craft.
The conference, set at the Metro Toronto Convention Center (South Building), runs through tomorrow, Wednesday, June 18th. SES Toronto provides real, actionable direction to help organizations grow their businesses through search engine marketing. Marketers glean tips from two full days of interacting with experts in the field.
Keynote speakers include Fredrick Marckini, Chief Global Search Officer for Isobar, who opened SES Toronto this morning. Scheduled for Wednesday at 9 am is Bryan Eisenberg, Co-Founder of Future Now Inc.
Earlier today Kevin Ryan, VP, Global Content Director, Search Engine Strategies and Search Engine Watch, and Andrew Goodman, SES Toronto Co-Chair & Principal, Page Zero Media, moderated the Orion Panel: Measuring Success in a 2.0 World. A panel of thought leaders shared their insights on successful search analytics strategies and pondered questions such as “what is the dollar value of a social media relationship?”
Search Engine Strategies Conference & Expo Toronto 2008 features presentations and panel discussions covering aspects of search engine-related promotion. Attendees will learn:
— How search engines list Web sites for free and through paid placements
— How to get free “organic” traffic by building a site that pleases search engines and your visitors
— How to efficiently purchase listings guaranteed to rank your company at the top of search engine results
— How to calculate the ROI of your search marketing efforts by tracking your visitors from the time they hit your site until they buy–and get tips on improving conversion if they don’t
— How to build links that generate traffic to your Web site, and how to avoid the penalties of “spamming” the search engines
— What’s coming next in the constantly evolving world of Web search, and how to profit from those changes
“The world of search engine marketing never stands still,” said Matthew McGowan, Global VP of Marketing with Incisive Media. “Marketers are continually challenged to tackle emerging SEO techniques and maintain strong online standings. We’re very gratified that attendees tell us how valuable these sessions are in helping them master the art of SEO.”
Platinum Passport registration provides full access to the full two-day event for $1,295. One-day passes are also available for $695. Expo Hall-only passes are available at the door.
