mValent Announces Support for HP Business Technology Optimization
mValent, Inc. (http://www.mvalent.com), a leading provider of application configuration management solutions, today announced at HP Software Universe, booth number #136, support for new software offerings in the HP Business Technology Optimization (BTO) portfolio. mValent integrates with a wide range of HP BTO solutions, including HP Server Automation, HP Operations Orchestration and the HP Universal CMDB, which enables IT teams to streamline application changes, reduce cost of operations, and drive greater operational integrity.
"Our customers derive tremendous value from the solutions HP and mValent provide, particularly in helping them meet their business goals of reducing operational costs of managing IT infrastructure, while improving the quality and availability of mission-critical applications," said Jim Hickey, mValent's Chief Marketing Officer. "We work with the HP Business Technology Optimization teams on product integrations and where it counts the most -- in the field with customers."
Second, mValent works with HP to help resell mValent Integrity(TM) throughout HP global channels. mValent's capabilities are included in HP Business Service Automation solutions primarily for the server layers of IT infrastructure. The collaboration allows customers to automate the provisioning of servers with up-to-date configuration parameters for application infrastructure to insure compliance with corporate standards. It also helps reduce troubleshooting and improve the uptime and quality of customers' web applications. HP Business Service Automation with mValent technology can benefit IT teams because huge volumes of configuration changes occur daily across production and pre-production environments, whereas server software and patches are delivered periodically. mValent Integrity excels in identifying all of these changes and enabling swift remediation of rogue changes which lead to application outages or compliance violations. The combination of fine-level change management with the ability to provision changes immediately provides value to customers.
mValent has also developed an integration with HP Universal CMDB as a member of the HP Universal CMDB Partner Program. Through this integration, mValent Integrity federates with HP Universal CMDB to provide a single, unified view of the IT infrastructure. mValent Integrity leverages key data from the HP Universal CMDB, such as the discovered asset and service dependencies. It enriches this information with highly detailed asset configuration settings, detailed change tracking and tools for comprehensive change provisioning to applications in any stage of their lifecycle, providing customers with essential capabilities to automate their application support processes.
"With customers demanding around-the-clock access to services, businesses need to eliminate the costs and risks associated with downtime caused by mismanaged changes," said Jennifer Johnson, senior manager, product marketing, Software, HP. "HP Business Technology Optimization with mValent software help customers successfully manage change and helps ensure high availability and operational efficiencies."
mValent tackles IT complexity and compliance with automation software that eliminates configuration management chaos in application infrastructure.
