June 19, 2008

Ektron Inc., a technology and market leader in Web content management software, will feature a compelling keynote session at their 2008 annual user conference, Synergy, to be held October 21-24 in Boston, Massachusetts. David Weinberger, Ph.D., best-selling author and Fellow at the Harvard University Berkman Center for Internet & Society, will present on Wednesday October 22nd.

Weinberger’s presentation on the enterprise use of social tools and collaborative computing will explore how relationships are being redefined not only with the customer, but also in an organization’s internal workplace. Attendees will gain valuable insight into the changes that the new generation of social media brings to the corporate world and the impact that social tools can have on the business environment, if organizations choose to embrace the technology.

David Weinberger is a respected industry commentator, thought leader, and author widely recognized for his work on the emergence of the Internet as a revolutionary force in business and in society. As a Fellow at the Berkman Center for the Internet and Society at Harvard, Weinberger has also published his most recent book, Everything is Miscellaneous, earlier this year. Other best sellers include, Small Pieces Loosely Joined and the co-authored book, The Cluetrain Manifesto.

Synergy is an annual multi-day event for Ektron customers and partners that consists of workshops, breakout sessions, and open forums. Attendees will be able to continue their education on Ektron’s existing products and services and also be the first to hear from Ektron’s thought leaders and technology experts about the future product roadmap and industry best practices for effective Web site management.
