Pine Tree Network, a telephone company based in Gray, has upgraded its fiber optic network and is offering broadband Internet access to areas of Durham and New Gloucester that use the 926 exchange.
The addition of a remote site at Rice's Corner in Durham will allow 110 customers in that town and 50 in New Gloucester to have high-speed access. The company also plans to add more sites - Shaker Road in the Dry Mills area, Penny Road in Gray and the Wadleigh Pond area in Lyman - in the next few months.
