ATLANTA, June 19, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Georgia Aquarium has selected BlueWave Computing, an Atlanta, Ga.-based computer and network management company, to assist with infrastructure maintenance and computer systems support for its 550,000-square-foot facility located in downtown Atlanta.
BlueWave will provide information technology (IT) support for The Georgia Aquarium's servers and back office networking applications.
"BlueWave Computing's services give us access to deep expertise in a number of technical domains where we can't afford to have full-time employees," said Beach M. Clark, Jr., vice president, information technology for The Georgia Aquarium. "BlueWave's business model fit perfectly with what we were looking for -- a minimal cost for routine maintenance with a good budgeting system for infrastructure projects."
Clark noted that BlueWave's Total Control(tm) computing tools, which will give The Georgia Aquarium better control over the costs and performance of IT systems; its Microsoft Gold Certification, and a team of more than 50 knowledgeable engineers were reasons The Georgia Aquarium selected BlueWave.
"This is a big win for BlueWave Computing," said Steve Vicinanza, president and CEO of BlueWave Computing. "The Georgia Aquarium chose BlueWave over other qualified IT vendors based on our specific expertise in Microsoft technologies, our highly qualified engineering staff, and our unique Total Control IT management methodology."
With flexible contracts and a full complement of managed IT services, BlueWave can serve as a firm's entire IT department or supplement the talents of an in-house team. In both cases, BlueWave helps IT costs become more predictable and systems more reliable. The BlueWave team consists of more than 50 college-educated and Microsoft-certified engineers who apply proven IT methodologies toward the care and maintenance of their clients' networks.
