Dog-Nappers Nick Roy’s Pedigree Pal
By Joe O’Brien
A PENSIONER has been left heartbroken after his pedigree dog was stolen from his car.
Pogo, a Pomeranian aged four, vanished from Roy Dickson’s Vauxhall Astra while he popped in to Birkenshaw retail park in Uddingston, Lanarkshire.
When the retired business manager returned just minutes later, Pogo was missing.
Roy, 71, yesterday told how he had taken ownership of Pogo just three months ago.
Speaking at his home in Tollcross, Glasgow, he said: “I am distraught. He is a lovely little chap and I just hope no harm has come to him.
“I was only in the shop a few minutes. Pogo had been left on the front seat in the bed I’d bought him.
“I had left the window open a bit to make sure he had plenty of air. But when I came out of the shop, he had vanished.
Police said: “Inquiries are ongoing to trace Pogo.”
