State Police Arrest Man Accused of Sex Assault on Bus
A Philadelphia man was arrested at the Greyhound Bus terminal in Pittsburgh Saturday morning for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenager while riding on a bus.
State police arrested Charles Frederick Allen, 22, after investigating allegations that he molested a 16-year-old girl sitting next to him on a bus traveling along the Turnpike from Harrisburg and Pittsburgh.
The girl told police that Allen touched her repeatedly and grabbed her hand several times and placed it on his groin. He allegedly offered her $20 to touch him when she pulled away, police said.
The girl contacted her mother by cell phone to report the incident, police said.
Allen is charged with indecent assault, indecent exposure, open lewdness, corruption of a minor, disorderly conduct and harassment. Allen was placed in the Allegheny County to await arraignment, police said.
