Multiplied Media's Poynt Local Search Service Surpasses 50,000 Users

CALGARY, June 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Multiplied Media Corporation, a Calgary-based provider of local search services, is pleased to announce their Poynt Local Search service on the instant messaging platform reached 52,795 users over the weekend.
"We have been steadily adding users since the launch of the new Poynt platform earlier this year," said John Lowe, CEO, Multiplied Media. "This milestone confirms that Poynt is capturing the attention and interest of consumers."
Poynt is an all-in-one local search tool that provides address and phone number information as well as interactive maps, turn-by-turn directions, the ability to view movie trailers, see showtimes and purchase movie tickets. The service, which has been operational in Canada and the United States since early this year, operates on the Windows Live Messenger and AIM instant messenger networks and is in beta release for the BlackBerry. To use Poynt, consumers can add poynt@live.com to their contact list on Windows Live Messenger, add the screen name Poynt to their buddy list on AIM or visit http://m.mypoynt.com/ from their BlackBerry browser.
