BDNA Corporation Announces $12.5 Million in Funding
BDNA Corporation, an innovator in Business Intelligence for IT Governance, today announced that it has closed $12.5 million in Series C funding. Newbury Ventures, based in Orinda, Calif., and Paris, France, is the lead investor for this round of financing. Previous investors, Crescendo Ventures of Palo Alto, Calif. and Motorola Ventures of Schaumburg, Il., also participated in this round.
In addition, Ossama R. Hassanein, managing partner of Newbury Ventures, joined the BDNA Board of Directors. BDNA also continues to build momentum with the addition of two more new members to its board: Pat House, vice-chairman of Siebel Systems (Nasdaq:SEBL) and Ernie von Simson of Ostriker von Simson. They join board members from Crescendo Ventures and Sand Hill Group in advising BDNA as it prepares to roll out the BDNA iGovern(TM) software suite that provides comprehensive, accurate, actionable information and analytics to drive strategic IT alignment, reduce risks, and contain costs.
"By merging analytics with IT Governance, BDNA is addressing an issue that more and more companies are wrestling with: how to align business and technology objectives, optimize IT investments, and keep costs under control in increasingly complex enterprise environments," says Ossama Hassanein. "We were particularly impressed that BDNA has already delivered ROI for organizations like Motorola and the U.S. Navy and are pleased to invest in a company poised for growth."
"We are honored to receive support from these experienced and prestigious executives as we build momentum for the launch of BDNA iGovern," says Constantin Delivanis, chief executive officer of BDNA. "Each offers a vote of confidence in BDNA’s strategy for providing real-time visibility and decision support for companies looking to gain control of their technology investments."
