Ping Identity Sees Strong Federation Adoption in Europe

Ping Identity(R) today announced a surge in European adoption of PingFederate(R), the company’s award-winning Internet single sign-on (SSO) software. PingFederate provides secure user access to Internet applications without the need for repeat logins. These capabilities are now requirements for European organizations faced with enterprise and government initiatives that require improved methods of identity access and management.

“Our customers are looking for ways to ease the cost and management of secure user access to growing numbers of internal and external business applications,” said Ping Identity EMEA Director Andrew Hindle. “We have a team of client representatives, systems engineers and certified implementation partners throughout Europe to help customers meet these requirements.”

In the first five months of 2008, Ping Identity doubled its European customer base and tripled its first half sales revenues for the region compared to first half sales in 2007. The company also added Netherlands integrator Everett to its arsenal of 11 certified implementation partners in Europe.

“PingFederate has delivered tremendous value to the identity federation service provided by The Netherlands’ national research and education network (NREN). Using PingFederate, we added support for both SAML 2.0 and WS-Federation, and created a ‘federation router’ that accepts and translates assertions in any supported protocol,” said Hans Zandbelt with SURFnet, the organization that develops, implements and maintains the Netherlands’ NREN. “This configuration also now supports connections to Google Apps,” he said.

Other recent European customer additions for PingFederate include:

Complinet – a leading provider of dynamic, connected risk and compliance solutions for the global financial services community. Complinet combines in-house compliance expertise with technological innovation to serve as a virtual compliance resource.

Working with Ping Identity certified implementation partner Enline, Complinet’s London office deployed PingFederate in order to connect with and securely provide compliance information and services directly into its customers’ applications. The PingFederate-enabled Complinet service is now in production with Prudential.

Legal Intelligence – a SaaS provider based in the Netherlands. Legal Intelligence provides search solutions for the legal industry.

Legal Intelligence joined Ping Identity’s SaaS Partner Program in order to offer its customers PingFederate for secure Internet single sign-on to its online search applications.

Vielife – a global leader of health and performance management solutions based in London. Vielife provides metrics and benchmarks to client organizations, enabling them to track and enhance the health drivers of human capital, and match those drivers to business initiatives.

Vielife uses PingFederate to provide its clients’ employees with secure Internet SSO to the health and well-being services in the Vielife application. This has increased client use of the Vielife tools, and provides a sense of security to the application users.
