Optimus Selects Movial for Mass Market IP Communication PC Service

Movial, a developer of mobile and internet communications applications, has announced that Optimus, a mobile operator in Portugal, has launched a new mass market IP communication PC service, powered by Movial Communicator.
With Movial's PC client software, Communicator, Optimus is extending its services to PC users, increasing its subscriber base and offering its more than 2.8 million existing subscribers an additional channel for multimedia communication.
Luis Reis, COO at Sonaecom, said: "We are now able to provide a compelling PC user experience to mobile subscribers and have a desktop presence. The new PC service greatly enhances our growing teen community, as well as our traditional consumer subscribers' communications with rich multimedia applications that enable them to enjoy for the first time, a simple, highly intuitive, consistent experience on the PC."
