TOUTS are cashing in on Sir Sean Connery’s appearance at the Edinburgh Book Festival.
Tickets for the launch of his memoirs, Being A Scot, cost pounds 9 from the organisers but are now being offered for sale on internet auction site eBay for up to pounds 100.
Connery and his co-author, the Scottish film-maker Murray Grigor, will be in Edinburgh on August 25 to talk about their book.
Tickets to see them sold out in just under an hour, making it the fastest-selling event in the Book Festival’s 25-year history.
Festival official Frances Sutton said yesterday: “We are extremely disappointed that tickets have appeared on eBay.”
