LG Holds Online Marketing Training Workshop Digital Leader Trains Regional Personnel on Using Online Media Effectively
Keeping up with industry trends and developments, global and regional digital leader LG Electronics organised a one-day workshop for its regional marketing teams at the LG Digital Centre.
The workshop was aimed at enhancing the teams' skills at handling digital media, including digital marketing as an integral part of IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication) mix, exploring more innovative ideas for online communication and utilising the Internet as a research tool supporting other media all to build an eCRM (Customer Relations Management) strategy for LG.
Participants came from various Middle East and Africa LG operations and media agencies to participate in the workshop.
"The online forum has been growing tremendously over the past few years where internet users have increased from 2.4 million in the year 2000 to 28 million this year which is a significant growth and is well worth harvesting," said Mr. K. W. Kim, CEO of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa Regional Company.
"Almost 77 per cent of Internet users are aged between 15 and 34 which constitute a huge portion of our target. LG is keen to explore the potential of such a medium by adding it to its communications mix," he added.
The interactive workshop saw several industry experts sharing their insights and experiences with the participants. Speakers included professionals such as Duri Al Ajrami, Media Director of MindShare Interaction; Ziad Khammar, General Manager of AMEInfo.com; Hussein Freijeh, Advertising Sales Director at Maktoob.com; Dr. Irfan Ahmed, Director of Dot Com Arabia and Yahoo! Middle East, and Mohammad Jaradat, General Manager of Arab Internet Standards Organisation.
Topics discussed at the one-day forum were digital media marketing trends, product e-marketing success stories, with industry experts presenting their experience with case studies.
LG Electronics continuously holds training sessions for its personnel to further enhance their skills in all aspects of the industry.
