Intel, NTT Broadband Platform Plan Wireless LAN Demonstration Tests

Apr. 21--TOKYO -- Intel K.K. and NTT Broadband Platform Inc. said Thursday they will conduct joint demonstration tests of a wireless local area network at a Kanagawa Prefecture university.
The tests will demonstrate how the wireless LAN and laptop computers might be utilized for education at Sanno University, they said.
The Japanese unit of U.S. computer chip giant Intel Corp. and the unit of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. said they will use test data to analyze their uses, needs and problems regarding university education and to propose specific uses to educational organizations.
