BTP Deploys New Converged Cisco Voice & Data Network for Peninsula Real Estate Office Launch
Posted on: Tuesday, 1 July 2008, 18:00 CDT
Business Technology Partners (BTP), Inc., a premier IT consulting firm, announced today that it has successfully integrated, designed and installed a fully converged Cisco voice and data network for Peninsula Real Estate LLC, a New York City-based real estate operating company located at 70 East 55th Street. BTP implemented and currently supports all systems, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (UCME), a CAT 6 cabling infrastructure and audiovisual presentation systems in the firm's boardroom to enable Peninsula's workflow, productivity and communications between its employees, business partners and clients.
Peninsula selected BTP for many of its other services as well. BTP managed the security contractor and telecommunications carriers, provided Dell workstations and laptops for the employees and project managed the construction of the server room and IT facilities. As for the audiovisual component of the project, BTP recommended the use of the latest Sharp 65 inch LCD display with Extron Matrix switching and CATV service from Time Warner.
"The display illuminates the main board room, giving the firm the look and feel of a high technology new age office," said Timothy Haskin, Peninsula's President. "In the real estate business, it is critical to have a set of tools that can manage our fast paced need for communications on the go. BTP understood our requirements and provides an all in one technology consulting team that handles networking, cabling and audiovisual, giving us the ability to create a high level technology experience for our new office."
"Understanding that most of their staff needs flexibility to do their work outside of the office, we were able to hone in on the Cisco Unified Communications platform as a cost-effective solution, providing a robust set of features and functionality. We're pleased to have been selected by such a prominent real estate firm to provide them with their technology and we look forward to supporting them in the years to come," said Joshua Aaron, President of Business Technology Partners.
