Samsung Seeks Soundtrack Act
Samsung is offering up-and-coming bands the chance to provide the soundtrack to online and radio ads for its F400 mobile phone. The consumer electronics company has linked up with social networks Facebook, MySpace and Bebo to promote the competition.
Bands are being encouraged to upload a demo track to f400share.com, where visitors can vote for their favourites. Two phase one winners were announced yesterday (10 June), while a second pair will be chosen on 20 June.
The Samsung F400 has extensive music functions including Windows Media Player sync software, which allows users to move songs easily between their phone and PC.
