Zetta Systems Announces IR2 Channel Program; Enables VARs to Deliver CDP/IR Software or Hardware Solutions for Instant Recovery of Email, Database and File Servers

Posted on: Monday, 25 April 2005, 12:00 CDT

Zetta Systems, the leading developer of Continuous Data Protection/Instant Recovery solutions for email and database applications, today launched its IR2 (Instant Recovery Reseller) channel program, created to offer resellers significant account penetration in the CDP/IR market.

Zetta's IR2 channel program provides resellers with web-based sales tools, product demonstrations and training, field-based pre-sales support, a dedicated Zetta account manager, lead generation, and exclusive deal registration. Zetta will deliver high margins on software and opportunities for both services and implementation.

"Zetta Systems sells only through indirect channels, and therefore is one hundred percent committed to partnering with Zetta resellers through the IR2 Channel Program," said James Ornest, vice president sales of Zetta Systems. "In calendar year 2005, we will enroll a limited number of North American resellers in Zetta's IR2 program to meet end-user demand for Instant Recovery of mission-critical Exchange, SQL, Active Directory and Oracle data either through Fibre Channel or iSCSI".

"Our customers are demanding faster backups and instant recovery from system crashes. Zetta Server IR provides a powerful, yet elegant solution to recover rapidly from disasters. We are excited about Zetta's IR2 program because it is designed to protect our margins and consulting opportunities, and priced for a short sales cycle," said Jenna Lim, CEO of The Trivad Group, a leading Storage Reseller headquartered in San Mateo, Calif.

Zetta Systems provides scalable solutions that deliver instant recovery of email, database and file servers - allowing companies to recover terabytes of information in seconds following data corruption or server hardware failure. Zetta Server IR software for real-time Data Protection and Instant Recovery can be installed on a wide range of Intel hardware and storage subsystems. Zetta Server IR presents both Fibre Channel and iSCSI targets for Windows and UNIX, and delivers unmatched Continuous Data Protection, Instant Recovery and the ability to scale storage without downtime.

Resellers interested in applying for the IR2 program can do so by visiting the company's website at www.zettasystems.com, by calling (800) 618-DATA, ext. 231, or by sending email to irsquared@zettasystems.com.
