The parent of Trilogy, the former upscale restaurant on Liberty Avenue, Downtown, filed for bankruptcy on Thursday.

LaStrada Downtown LLC filed a Chapter 7 petition in U.S. bankruptcy court in Pittsburgh to liquidate the restaurant company. Trilogy, which closed its doors a few months ago , opened in fall 2005.

Documents listed assets and liabilities of less than $50,000 each, and less than 50 creditors. The firm stated it was doubtful that there would be sufficient proceeds left over to pay unsecured creditors.
