Huawei Wins Pakistan WiMAX Network Deal

Huawei Technologies has won a WiMAX network expansion deal from Pakistan GSM operator Mobilink to deploy a commercial WiMAX 16e network in the country's six major cities.
Huawei will provide distributed base stations, an access service network-gateway, and a network management system to integrate Mobilink's existing 2G networks with high-bandwidth capacity networks.
Huawei has conducted 35 WiMAX trials worldwide and holds 5% of WiMAX related patents in the world.
