SFR to Invest More Than E1 Billion in Fiber Network Expansion – Report
July 7, 2008
French mobile operator SFR plans to invest more than E1 billion to roll out its fiber optic network, reported Reuters.
SFR is majority-owned by French media group Vivendi. The network expansion and investment will depend on the accessibility of the underground structures and terminal points, the report said. France Telecom owns majority of these terminals.
“We are ready to invest in total more than E1 billion in fiber optics if conditions are met,” Frank Esser, CEO of SFR, was quoted as saying.
