NTT to Launch BlackBerry Internet Service in Japan

NTT Docomo has announced that it will launch the BlackBerry Internet Service in Japan on August 1, 2008.
The new service will enable direct connection to the internet without a dedicated server. The BlackBerry Internet Service will cost JPY3,045 per month including tax.
The company said that a discount packet-billing called the BlackBerry Data Transmission Package will be launched on September 1, 2008, to enable users to transmit up to 80,000 packets of data per month for a flat charge of JPY1,680. Data exceeding this limit will be charged at JPY0.0525 per packet.
