Wasabi Systems Demonstrates IP-SAN Solution at Intel Solutions Summit

Wasabi Systems said today that the Company will demonstrate one of the initial products of its recently-announced collaborative storage solution with Xyratex Ltd. (NASDAQ:XRTX) at the Intel(R) Solutions Summit 2005 (ISS) in Dublin Ireland, April 27 - 29. The demonstration at ISS features a 2U / 12 drive platform based on the Intel(R) Server Board SE7520JR2. The solution provides an exceptionally high-end IP-SAN that supports clustering applications with up to 4.8TB of raw storage.

Wasabi Storage Builder for IP-SAN and Wasabi Storage Builder for IP-DAS are networked storage products designed to meet the needs of SMB end users. In addition to the 2U platform introduced at ISS, a 1U / 4 drive storage appliance is also available from Xyratex. It is an exceptionally cost effective replacement for conventional direct attached storage and provides an introductory IP-SAN capability with raw capacity of up to 1.6 TB. Both platforms offer full RAID protection including RAID 0,1,10, 5 and 50.
