Micrel Introduces SPICE Models for Low Side MOSFET Drivers

Posted on: Wednesday, 27 April 2005, 18:00 CDT

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Micrel Inc. , an industry leader in IC analog, high bandwidth and Ethernet solutions, today announced the immediate availability of a suite of SPICE models for its MIC44xx Family of Low Side MOSFET Driver ICs. The SPICE models are behavioral tools that duplicate datasheet performance in computer simulation thereby enabling engineers and designers to quickly and efficiently analyze the behavior of Micrel's ICs for a wide variety of applications. The models can be downloaded, free of charge, from the Micrel website at: http://www.micrel.com/_Models1/PSPICE/ .

"Reduced time to market is one of the most valuable competitive edges for our customers," noted Scott Brown, director of Mixed-Signal and RF Products, Micrel. "Micrel is dedicated to providing its customers with a wide variety of productivity tools. These new SPICE models enable designers to quickly simulate how our parts will operate which, in turn, can significantly reduce design cycle time and time to market."

Micrel's Model Library offers models for both PSpice(R) and Intusoft(TM) simulators. These analysis tools evaluate the behavioral models that help designers quickly determine how parts behave in a simulated system environment. This is particularly useful when designers are evaluating parts for a new or untested application.
