AltiGen Communications Launches Max Communications Server 6.0

AltiGen Communications, a provider of VoIP business telephone systems and unified communications solutions, has launched a new software based Max Communications Server 6.0 VoIP softswitch with native Microsoft Exchange 2007 unified messaging integration.
Max Communications Server (MAXCS) 6.0 the company's next generation VoIP phone system and unified communications solution designed for businesses with support for up to 5,000 users. To increase scalability, the new VoIP switching architecture of MAXCS 6.0 utilizes standard Intel based servers to handle all VoIP voice processing.
According to the company, its Max Communications Server 6.0 features new software based distributed softswitch architecture with support for 1,000 users on a single server, new .NET based desktop telephony client with enhanced call control features and it also features an expanded meet-me conference bridge with scheduling application supporting 120 participants.
Jimmin Yao, vice president of product management, said: "By migrating to a software based softswitch architecture, we are able to deploy MAXCS 6.0 on any AltiGen certified Intel based server. In larger enterprise organizations, the new software based softswitch architecture will give IT departments the flexibility to deploy MAXCS on their company's specified standard server platform."
