General Software Announces Support for New 45nm Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T9400
The Mobile Intel(R) GM45 Express chipset and the Intel(R) 5100 Memory Controller Hub (MCH) chipset are now fully supported by Embedded BIOS(R) with StrongFrame(R) Technology, General Software's 6th generation, x86 firmware. These chipsets are validated with the new Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo processor T9400 which features 45nm process technology and delivers energy-efficient performance. The Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo processor makes it possible to integrate two complete execution cores in one physical package, providing advancements in simultaneous computing for multi-threaded applications and multi-tasking environments. Intel's new hafnium based 45nm Hi-k silicon process technology enables even more processor performance by doubling transistor density and increasing cache size by up to 50 percent.
