Dataram Introduces Memory for AdvancedTCA SBCs; 512MB & 1GB Modules Power the Latest Compute Hardware for Telecom OEMs

Posted on: Tuesday, 3 May 2005, 09:00 CDT

Dataram Corporation (NASDAQ: DRAM), a leading supplier of memory to OEMs in medical, defense, telecom and IT industries, today announced the availability of .72" high very low profile (VLP) memory options for PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturing Group's (PICMG) Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (ATCA) equipment--an architecture for modular carrier-grade telecom systems. For compute power, ATCA OEMs incorporate single board computers (SBC's) and server blades that require very low profile memory modules. ATCA specifications set the slot spacing at 1.20" (30.48mm) maximum and component height on the board cannot exceed 21.33mm.

Dataram provides memory in two capacities for these applications, a 512MB DTP63315 and a 1GB DTP63316. Both products are DDR2-400 ECC registered DIMMs, have 240 pins and measure 5.25" x .72" x .157". As single rank memory modules built with x4 drams, both support the advanced ECC features Chipkill and Intel SDDC in chipsets E7320, E7520 and E7525.

"Working closely with our OEM customers, Dataram develops solutions for a variety of OEM and embedded applications", stated Mike Sughrue, Dataram's OEM Sales Manager. "Dataram is well suited for and has the engineering expertise to solve the challenging design tasks presented by higher density form factors like ATCA." Both products are available now.
