Horry Telephone Cooperative Selects Spirent(R) Communications As Service Assurance Solution Provider
Spirent Communications plc (LSE:SPT), a global provider of performance analysis and service management solutions, today announced that Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC), Inc. selected Spirent to supports its network service monitoring and remote diagnostics operations. HTC, the nation’s largest telephone cooperative serving business and residential subscribers in Horry and Georgetown counties in South Carolina, has deployed Spirent REACT(R) Test Management Operations Support System (OSS) to ensure network reliability and improve customer satisfaction.
While voice applications continue to be the biggest revenue generator for telecommunications service providers, especially operators serving regional and local communities, there is a growing demand for services such as digital cable and high-speed Internet access. This is increasing the pressure to deploy test solutions that enable carriers to conduct complex test strategies, provision and manage multiple services in a multi-vendor network environment.
