Level Platforms Integrates With Intel(R) Centrino(R) 2 With vPro(TM) Technology for Enhanced Managed Services
LPI Level Platforms Inc. today announced enhanced support for Intel’s vPro(TM) technology by embracing Intel’s new Centrino 2 platform for notebook computers in Managed Workplace, their industry-leading, remote monitoring and management software solution.
Intel(R) vPro(TM) technology is Intel’s premier business brand for proactive security, energy-efficient performance, and built-in manageability, to reduce support costs and improve business customers’ technology experience. Level Platforms’ Managed Workplace software takes advantage of the new Centrino 2 with vPro technology platform, allowing managed service providers to access notebooks computers on their customers’ networks regardless of their connectivity, wired or wireless. This allows solution providers to remotely assess and repair or reconfigure laptop computer systems even when they are inoperative or unresponsive.
Level Platforms’ Centrino 2 with vPro technology integration will provide increased abilities to remotely manage notebook computers in their customers’ environments including out-of-band management capabilities, remote power control, increased level of event notification, as well as remote diagnostics and remediation.
With more than 2500 Solution Provider partners in over 29 countries, Level Platforms is the leading remote monitoring and management software platform used by solution providers delivering managed services to support their small and medium-sized end customers’ IT networks.
“Intel and Level Platforms are committed to providing managed service providers with the ability to remotely and securely monitor and manage their small business customers’ IT infrastructures,” said Intel Executive Erik Reid, Director, Mobile Platforms Marketing. “The combination of Intel(R) Centrino 2 with vPro technology and Level Platform’s award-winning remote monitoring and management software, Managed Workplace, provides a new level of built-in manageability for notebook computers, simplifying support and providing increased satisfaction in the end user’s computing experience.”
From the initial launch of vPro(TM) two years ago, Level Platforms has continued to lead the market in delivering the power of Intel’s out-of-band and remote management solutions to managed services providers,” said Peter Sandiford, Level Platforms’ CEO. “As the market shifts to notebooks and wireless networks based on Intel Centrino 2 with vPro(TM), we are again leveraging Intel’s breakthrough technologies to provide the ultimate IT management platform for solution providers around the world.”
