Microsoft Acquires Data-Quality Start-Up Zoomix
Microsoft has agreed to acquire for an undisclosed sum Israel-based data-quality software developer Zoomix.
Zoomix development staff will join the Microsoft R&D center in Israel and its offerings will be added to Microsoft International SQL Server group.
Microsoft said the acquisition will allow it to provide enterprise-class data quality applications, and also enhance its vision to make SQL Server a complete data platform for all data-management needs.
Moshe Lichtman, vice president at Microsoft International and president of R&D in Israel, said: “Microsoft’s additional investment in Israel takes our R&D center into the field of solutions for databases. Zoomix’s capability along with our SQL servers will enable organizations to meet the requirements of complex information systems to streamline business processes.”
