NVIDIA is showcasing its flagship platform, graphics, and high-definition video products, including:
-- NVIDIA nForce(TM)4 SLI(TM) Intel Edition media and communications
processors (MCPs).
-- NVIDIA(R) GeForce(TM) 6600 graphics processing units (GPUs), featuring
high-definition PureVideo(TM) technology, in a passively-cooled, single
PCI Express slot configuration.
John Lonergan, vice president of worldwide channel operations at NVIDIA, commented: "The Intel Channel Conference puts us face-to-face with more than 8,000 system builders in North America. It provides a great opportunity for us to demonstrate cutting-edge technologies -- such as NVIDIA SLI and PureVideo -- to some of our most important customers. In addition, we are pleased to be able to offer exciting new reference designs for next-generation Media Center PCs."
The new NVIDIA Media Center PC reference designs offer system builders and OEMs an easy-to-implement blueprint and complete list of components to assemble high-definition living room PCs with powerful features at compelling price points. When compared to previous-generation PCs, these new living room-friendly designs will operate at cooler temperatures and consume less power, enabling them to be a physically smaller and quieter addition to the consumer's home entertainment center.
The new reference designs leverage NVIDIA nForce MCPs, GeForce 6 Series GPUs, PureVideo technology, and an NVIDIA NVTV(TM) PC Tuner Card.
NVIDIA partners, including ASUS, Foxconn, and MSI Corp. are making a strong showing during the ICC tour by demonstrating NVIDIA nForce4 SLI Intel Edition-based products:
-- ASUS: "The powerful of combination of NVIDIA SLI and ASUS AI
overclocking technologies sets the high-mark for PC performance. We are
extremely pleased to bring this award-winning combination together
again for the Intel platform in P5ND2-SLI Premium motherboards," said
Raymond Chen, vice president of marketing, ASUS Computer International.
-- FoxConn: "Foxconn is extremely excited about the opportunity to offer
NVIDIA-based solutions for the Intel platform," commented Ed Leckliter,
director of channel products for Foxconn's Channel Service Division for
the Americas (CSD1). "The Foxconn NF4SLI7AA-8EKRS2 capitalizes on the
feature-rich NVIDIA nForce4 SLI Intel Edition chipset to bring
state-of-the-art performance to enthusiasts and corporate power users
worldwide."
-- MSI Computer Corp.: Daniel Wang, vice president of sales at MSI
Computer Corp., added, "NVIDIA is setting the pace in designing
