MCI Wins 2005 Innovation Award From CMP Media LLC's Network Magazine; MCI Recognized for Integrating Its Hosted Business VoIP Offering With Its MPLS-Based VPN

MCI, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCIP) today announced that MCI Advantage over Private IP Service received the 2005 Innovation Award for Most Influential Technology in the Data Services category from CMP Media LLC's Network Magazine.

The 2005 Innovation Award winners are chosen by the editors of CMP Media LLC's Network Magazine to recognize those considered best in class. The Most Influential Innovation Award goes to those technologies and products that will have the greatest and most immediate impact on their markets.
