ZTE to Provide Communications Solutions for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

ZTE Corporation, a provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, has announced that it will be supplying a comprehensive range of its telecom products and solutions in the forthcoming Beijing 2008 Olympic Games to ensure smooth operations for 3G network infrastructure.

According to ZTE, it has developed a contingency plan together with telecom operators in China to ensure the smooth provision of various communication support services including 3G TD-SCDMA network, TD-SCDMA mobile phones, GoTa (Global open Trunking architecture) emergency communications, broadband access, IPTV, and optical transmission, among others.

Yin Yimin, CEO of ZTE, said: "Following our successful participation during the Athens 2004 Olympic games where we expertly provided broadband and communications services, we are very proud that ZTE will again play a key role in helping the smooth operations of the Beijing 2008 Olympic games's communications network when it is held in our motherland."
