Redback Networks and ZTE Corporation Sign Strategic Distribution Agreement to Expand Reach in Asia Market

Market and Resell Redback's SMS Product Family Throughout Asia
Redback Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:RBAK), a leader of next-generation broadband networking systems, and ZTE Corporation, the leading telecommunications equipment manufacturer and network solution provider in China, today announced they have entered into a strategic distribution agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, ZTE Corporation will market and resell the Redback(R) SMS(TM) subscriber management family of products under the ZTE label throughout Asia and also provide installation and direct support to customers.

Redback's SMS family of products enables service providers and carriers to manage, provision and aggregate broadband, leased-line and dial-up subscribers and services via a single, unified platform. As an intelligent networking platform, Redback's products are designed to speed the deployment of broadband services to market, provide a scalable operational model for managing subscribers and enable the creation of new value-added services including VPNs, self-provisioned tiered bandwidth, video multicast and Web portal services.
