Rediff.com Selects NetScaler for Improved Security and Performance of Services

NetScaler, Inc., the application intelligent networking company, today announced that Rediff.com (NASDAQ: REDF), one of the premier worldwide online provider of news, information, communication, entertainment and shopping services for Indians, has selected the NetScaler 9000 Series secure application networking systems. Rediff.com plans to deploy the NetScaler 9000 Series to secure and optimize the delivery of online communications and e-commerce services to its more than 26 million registered users worldwide.

Fast-growing and popular communications services, such as Rediffmail and Rediffmail Pro, have made it imperative for Rediff.com to seek ways to better utilize its server resources while ensuring the integrity of data that is communicated through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connections. By applying NetScaler's SSL acceleration, TCP buffering, compression, attack protection, and connection multiplexing capabilities to its infrastructure, Rediff.com will improve server scalability, enhance security, achieve faster response times and reduce management complexity for its site.

Today, NetScaler formally announced the expanded role of its India operations at a press conference hosted by its CEO, B.V. Jagadeesh, and head of India operations, Rakesh Singh, in Bangalore, India. NetScaler's Bangalore office, which had previously been dedicated to research and development efforts, will now offer a spectrum of technical services including sales, marketing, and post-sales support to address the growing number of customers both in India and abroad.
