*Pannaway Networks, designers and developers of next-generation Ethernet/IP Multi-Service Access Platforms for telecommunications service providers, announced today that it has been named a 2008 Broadband Properties magazine's Top 100 Vendor, making it the company's third consecutive nod. Members of this list are recognized as the best-of-the-best in the fiber market, with a special focus on Fiber-To-The-Home, and for delivering the most innovative IT products and services to telecom service providers and municipalities. Broadband Properties' Top 100 recognizes the named companies' contributions to advancement and excellence in the world of communications. Over 600 entries were reviewed and judged by a panel of Broadband Properties editors and staff, while extensive research was conducted on each of the companies.
"Each year Broadband Properties recognizes the industry's most innovative companies that are leading the future of cable and telecommunications technology information," said Scott DeGarmo, CEO of Broadband Properties. "The list honors companies that have exemplified innovation, vision, execution and boldness, and includes telecommunication and cable service providers and system suppliers."
Pannaway's award-winning entry was its Ethernet/IP-based, MSAP (Multi-Service Access Platform) chassis, the MAGNM-20 (Multi Media Aggregation Node). The MAGNM-20 delivers industry leading copper and fiber port densities as well as an aggregate capacity of 922 gigabits per second allowing for virtually limitless scalability, effectively preparing broadband service providers for future growth. The MAGNM-20 is an integral component of Pannaway's Service Convergence Network (SCN(TM)) architecture and is the industry's most flexible and scalable broadband access platform.
"We are honored to be recognized for this accolade for the third consecutive year by such a respected industry resource as Broadband Properties," said Mark Carpenter, president of Pannaway Networks. "This distinguished placement is yet another proof point that Pannaway's continued commitment to product innovation is making an impact on the telecom service provider industry at large."
