Internet in Belarus Will Remain Unrestricted – Presidential Aide

MINSK. July 22 (Interfax) - Internet in Belarus will continue to be unrestricted, Belarusian Presidential Aide Vsevolod Yanchevsky said in a TV interview.

"Internet in Belarus will continue to be unrestricted. There is no basis for panic and hysterics," he said.

"All sensible people understand that you can only persuade in terms of the Internet. There are some technical schemes making it possible to shut down something but this will only incite indignation. It is inefficient and it is not necessary," he said.
