Associated Network Partners Inc. And Indiana Fiber Network Form Partnership to Resell Communication Services Throughout Indiana

Posted on: Tuesday, 10 May 2005, 12:00 CDT

Associated Network Partners Inc. (ANPI) and Indiana Fiber Network (IFN) are pleased to announce the formation of a strategic partnership. This partnership will not only enable IFN's current 19 member companies to benefit from ANPI's nationwide scale, but also enables other independent telecoms throughout Indiana to utilize their services as well.

IFN's partnership with ANPI gives them exclusive marketing rights within the state of Indiana. Kelly Dyer, president and CEO of IFN states, "I am very pleased to complete this initial step in what I believe will be a long-term relationship that will benefit both of our companies and the member/owners that we serve." Dyer went on to say, "While the initial focus of this relationship will be the more 'traditional services' such as LD resale, we see this expanding in the very near future to additional services such as VoIP, and IFN looks forward to working with ANPI on future joint endeavors."

Likewise, ANPI's president and CEO, Dave Lewis, expresses his enthusiasm about the IFN partnership. "We're very excited about the strategic relationship with IFN. In this time of great change and volatility, long-term strategic collaborations are important if we are to successfully respond to our changing marketplace and continue to successfully bring innovative services to rural America." Lewis continues, "I have great respect for Kelly Dyer and the mission of IFN, and I believe this partnership will strengthen the strategic positions of both companies and the members we serve."

Indiana Fiber Network, LLC is a consortium of 19 independent telephone companies. Formed in 2002, the purpose of IFN is to provide advanced telecommunication services throughout the state via private line, Ethernet, or Clear Channel transport. With completion in May, 2005 IFN will provide a 1,300+ mile fiber optic ring that connects rural Indiana with large cities around the state. The initial focus will be to provide for the member companies' infrastructure needs (toll trunks, SS7, Internet, video, etc.). In addition, all services will be available to the public, from DS1 level to OC192 and Gig-E Ethernet.

Associated Network Partners Inc. is a consortium owned by 325+ independent telephone companies spanning 39 states within the U.S. As the leading consortium providing wholesale communication services to the independent telco community, ANPI serves nearly two million access lines, and carries over one billion LD minutes of use per year. ANPI also provides independent telcos with other valuable services such as complete solution for VoIP telephony, state-of-the-industry reporting tools, 1+ toll, national directory assistance, calling cards, debit cards, and professional marketing services.
