Globecomm Systems SPYGLASS Carrier Monitoring System Software Awarded a 2005 Top Software Products of the Year Award By LISTnet
Posted on: Tuesday, 10 May 2005, 15:00 CDT
Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:GCOM), a global provider of end-to-end satellite-based communications solutions, announced today that the Company's SPYGLASS carrier monitoring system (CMS) software was awarded a 2005 top software products of the year award by the Long Island Software and Technology Network (LISTnet).
Globecomm's CMS software enables satellite operators, teleport operators and satellite service providers to automatically manage their uplink and downlink satellite carriers' performance using a traditional spectrum analyzer. The graphical user interface provides an easy to use, point and click technique to configure each carrier, while viewing the actual trace on the workstation screen. If any carrier falls outside its user-defined limits, the system activates an alarm condition and notification to alert operations staff to take corrective action.
Ken Miller, President of Globecomm said, "Software tools and software products add value to our solution offerings and we will continue to invest in developing these tools and products in order to increase the value of Globecomm's products and services. We are proud of this award and thank LISTnet for the recognition."
