Automation and Flood Protection on Agenda
Central Networks' ongoing work in the county includes increasing automation on its system to allow supplies to be restored from the company's control centre without an engineer having to go to the scene of incidents.
The company said it is also analysing the risks of flooding on its network and looking at where flood protection measures might need upgrading (pounds26m across its network has been set aside in its plan).
Central Networks said there is money in its business plan to put in underground cables in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
